Terms of Service

Effective July 7, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Alice Pro (the "Service"), operated by The Mad Botter INC ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, if applicable, the organization you represent.

1. The Service

Alice Pro keeps Microsoft Power BI dashboards refreshed from data sources you connect. The Service reads from sources you authorize, transforms data according to instructions you configure or approve, writes result files to cloud storage (yours, or a managed container we operate for you), and creates and refreshes Power BI artifacts in your Microsoft tenant.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 and authorized to bind the organization whose data you connect.

3. Your data stays yours

You retain all rights to the data you connect to the Service and everything the Service produces from it (transformed tables, serving files, semantic models). We claim no ownership of your data. Serving files live in your own cloud storage account, or in a single-tenant managed container we operate on your behalf, in open file formats you can take with you. If you leave, you keep everything.

4. What you allow us to do

You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the Service: to connect to the sources you configure using credentials you provide, to process your data to produce the outputs you request, and to create and refresh Power BI items in the Microsoft workspace you authorize. Connector credentials are stored encrypted and used only to operate your pipelines.

5. Alice AI

The "Ask Alice" feature generates SQL from your plain-language requests using a third-party large language model (Anthropic's Claude). Your request and the schema of your connected tables (column names and types — not row data beyond what you preview) are sent to Anthropic to generate the query. Generated SQL is shown to you with a preview of results and is applied only when you approve it. AI output can be wrong; you are responsible for reviewing what you apply.

6. Plans, billing, and trials

Paid plans are billed by our merchant of record, Paddle, whose checkout terms also apply to your purchase. Trials require a payment method and convert to a paid Workspace subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically (monthly or annually) until cancelled. Refunds are handled per our Refund Policy. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice, effective at your next renewal.

7. Acceptable use

Only connect data sources you are authorized to access.
No unlawful content or use, and no processing of data in violation of others' rights.
No attempts to breach, probe, or overload the Service, or to access other customers' data.
No reselling the Service without an Agency or white-label agreement.
Alice AI is for human-initiated requests within your plan's fair use — not automated bulk generation.

8. Availability

We work hard to keep the Service reliable, but it is provided without a formal uptime guarantee. The Service is designed so that Power BI dashboards read files from storage independent of our systems — if the Service is interrupted, dashboards typically continue showing the most recent delivered data rather than failing.

9. Third-party services

The Service depends on third parties including Microsoft (Power BI, Fabric, Azure), Anthropic, DigitalOcean, and Paddle. Their availability and terms are outside our control; your use of Microsoft services through Alice remains subject to your agreements with Microsoft.

10. Termination

You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the paid period. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practicable. After termination we retain your configuration and managed serving files for 30 days so you can export, then delete them.

11. Disclaimers and liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, AND WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF DATA CAUSED BY SOURCES OR DESTINATIONS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced by email or in-app at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
